Hello to all of my fellow taxpayers!
I am Becky Simmer, the District Coordinator for the AARP Tax-Aide District 45.
We had an amazing 2024 tax season. Our 170 volunteers completed 8,280 tax returns, including 858 walk ins. This was all done at our 12 sites, 7 of which were brand new sites. We opened these new sites because Colony Cottage Recreation Center was not available this tax season.
I’m so impressed how our volunteers surveyed potential new sites, opened and operated them without missing a beat. In addition, the sites that we used in the past continued to perform at a high level. My sincere thanks goes out to all of our volunteers who generously gave of their time to serve so many taxpayers in our district.
We are proud to announce that we will again be opening our Summer program on May 12, 2025. It will be held on Mondays at Colony Cottage Recreation Center. Consult our home page for directions how to schedule a summer appointment.
Taxpayers can do so much more than just make appointments on our website. Under the Taxpayer Resources tab, taxpayers can find additional worksheets and information to help them with their 2024 tax return. Under the Taxpayer FAQs tab, we have answers for some of the most common questions that taxpayers may have. For example, RMDs, QCDs and IP PINs. Check those two tabs out!
